Dil Raju, the Telugu film industry’s big-shot producer, is all in on artificial intelligence, and he’s not messing around. In a recent chat covered by Gulte on June 24, 2025, Raju spilled his guts about how AI is set to shake up filmmaking through his new venture, Lorven AI Studio. With over 50 movies under his belt at Sri Venkateswara Creations, this guy’s not scared of tech—he’s pumped to use it to make better films, faster, without losing that human spark.
Raju got the AI bug two years back and saw it as a way to fix the grind of movie-making. He teamed up with Quantum AI Global to launch Lorven AI Studio in Hyderabad on May 3, 2025, with legends like K. Raghavendra Rao and Sukumar cheering him on. The studio’s got cool tools like Cine Scribe, Cine Sketch, and Cine Flow, which do everything from whipping up story ideas to pre-visualizing whole scenes with sound and visuals. “AI’s like a first AD who doesn’t get cranky,” Raju joked, saying it can spit out script drafts or spot weak spots in a story. Projects like Vijay Deverakonda’s Rowdy Janardhana, the newbie-driven Thella Kagitham, and a VFX-packed tiger flick are already using Lorven AI to speed things up.
The whole point is to save time and cash while leveling up quality. Raju’s stoked that AI can cut down on endless script meetings, letting directors focus on the fun stuff. “Give it a prompt, and AI pushes the story forward,” he said, helping both pros and newbies sharpen their game. Telangana’s IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu called the studio a big deal, saying it puts Hyderabad up there with Hollywood. Fans on X are hyped too—@taran_adarsh posted it’s a “game-changer for Indian cinema.”
Not everyone’s thrilled, though. Hollywood writers strike over AI, which makes folks nervous and some worry it’ll kill jobs or churn out bland scripts. Raju’s not sweating it, saying Telugu cinema needs AI because writers are hard to come by. “It’s not as smart as us,” he admitted, but he’s ready to ride the tech wave. X users are split—some love the efficiency, others fear it’ll mess with the soul of storytelling.
Raju’s got more up his sleeve. He’s launching Dil Raju Dreams in June 2025 to scout fresh talent, and his next film, Thammudu with Nithiin, drops July 4. He’s also done with fake YouTube views for trailers, betting on real buzz instead. “Good content wins,” he told Gulte, keeping it real.
With Lorven AI, Raju’s out to make filmmaking quicker, slicker, and open to more voices. As Thammudu and Rowdy Janardhana gear up, everyone’s watching to see if his AI bet makes Telugu cinema the next big thing.
